Job Opportunity: MRI Tech

Location: York, Pennsylvania

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work at an Imaging Center with shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (3 shifts per weekend, 12 hours each, 7 AM to 7:30 PM)
• Candidate will undergo clinical screening to determine fit before final approval by management
• No call required
• Weekend work required every weekend
• May care for COVID-19 patients
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Certifications required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists)
• Experience with Epic system required

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Valid MRI Technologist license/certification as applicable
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• ARMRIT certification

Schedule & Work Conditions

• Weekend shifts every week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• No on-call or floating responsibilities
• Holidays as needed
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance-free

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, fingerprinting, and child abuse clearance (must be completed and on file within 45 days of assignment start)
• Government-issued photo ID required
• Education verification (highest level of education)
• Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • TDAP (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot within 90 days)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (vaccines or positive titers)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or full vaccine series)
  • Varicella (vaccines or positive titer)
  • Flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccine or valid exemption/declination
• Drug screening (9-panel) within 1 year (specific to agency requirements)
• Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually
• Professional references (2 required within 3 years)
• Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable

Additional Notes

• Candidate must provide a professional, passport-style photo for badge
• Must review and sign facility-specific documents including code of conduct, confidentiality agreement, and health & wellness commitment
• New hire orientation and online learning modules required prior to or on first day
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position

This position is ideal for MRI Technologists with experience in radiology and cardiology imaging, comfortable working weekend shifts, and able to comply with comprehensive credentialing and health requirements.
