Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Job Description

Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab with a schedule of 4 shifts of 10 hours each. The role involves handling both Interventional Radiology (IR) and cath lab cases.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
• 5 years preferred
• Charge nurse capability preferred
• Circulate and scrub experience required
• EPIC electronic medical record experience required
• Prior travel experience: First-time travelers not accepted unless they have strong Cardiac Cath Lab experience

Certifications Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)

Preferred:

• CCRN certification

Work Schedule & Requirements

• Weekend rotation participation required
• No on-call duties
• No floating outside scope of practice
• Local candidates within 70 miles not accepted
• Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager’s discretion
• Holiday and weekend rotations may be required

Additional Requirements & Notes

• Must have experience with both circulating and scrubbing in the cath lab
• Manager prefers candidates with Electrophysiology (EP) experience
• Physical exam, background checks, drug screening, and various health documents required prior to start
• Fit testing for respirators will be completed onsite during orientation
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules and training required
• Various state-specific background and registry checks required for Missouri

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• Experience circulating and scrubbing in the Cardiac Cath Lab
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
• Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
