Travel/Contract Registered Nurse (PCU)

Location: Lexington, Kentucky
Contract Length: 14 weeks


Job Description

  • Caring for Med/Surg patients in a Stepdown unit (PCU).
  • Must have experience working at a Level One Trauma facility.
  • Float requirement to other universal/progressive areas within the healthcare system.
  • Every other weekend required.
  • No local travelers within 100 miles accepted.
  • No block scheduling; full weeks off requests between May and August will not be approved.
  • Required experience includes PCU/AC/Tele/Med Surg.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Kentucky
  • Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
  • NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale Certification)
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Telemetry experience
  • Med Surg experience

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
  • Candidates must have PC/AC/Tele/Med Surg experience.
  • No block scheduling allowed; scheduling restrictions apply during May-August.
  • Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted.
