Orientation

• Some orientation sessions occur on weekdays due to weekend class availability

Required Certifications

• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
• Other certifications may be required based on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM) – verify with unit specifics

Required Licenses

• Valid Registered Nurse license for Missouri (pending licenses accepted)
• Primary source verification required (NURSYS for Missouri)

Compliance & Background Checks

• Government-issued ID required
• Criminal background check within 6 months, including statewide and nationwide searches
• Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Education verification of highest nursing degree required
• State-specific searches and registries as applicable
• Drug testing within 1 year of start, must remain valid throughout assignment

Health Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask testing (N95) required and must be renewed annually
• Immunizations and titers required or proof of immunity for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • TB (2 negative PPDs or equivalent test)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (vaccines or immunity proof)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• Hepatitis B declination form required (vaccination not mandatory)

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)
• Unit-specific competency exams and skills checklists required, including oncology competency if applicable
• Various facility-specific documents and policies must be reviewed and signed prior to start (e.g., HIPAA, confidentiality, dress code, hand hygiene, float attestation)
• Orientation modules (~16 hours) must be completed through the designated platform before starting

• Floating to other departments within scope is expected

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri (pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

This position is ideal for RNs with at least 2 years of medical-surgical experience who are open to travel assignments and flexible with weekend rotations. Prior travel experience is not required.
