Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Nashua, New Hampshire

Position Overview

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Nashua, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Experience Requirements

Minimum Specialty Experience: 2 years
Additional Experience: RN must have 2-5 years Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience
Prior Travel Experience: Required (unit does not accept first-time travelers)

Certifications Required

BLS (AHA Provider)
NRP
NH nursing license or compact license
Epic experience required

Shift & Work Details

Shift: 48-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Staffing Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 for labor; 1:3 for couplets
Call Requirement: None
Floating: Only within division units; no float to med/surg units
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Unit Systems

Pyxis (medication dispensing)
Epic (documentation and communication)
SBAR communication method

Required Exams & Competencies

Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (pass/fail within 48 hours of contract signing; 80% passing score)
Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
General Competency Exam

Background & Screening Requirements

Background check within 30 days of start including:
- Social Security Verification
- National Sex Offender Registry
- National Criminal Search
- FACIS L3
- Education Verification
- State and county criminal searches (excluding NH counties)
- NH State Police Search
- BEAS State Registry (NH placements)
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
10-panel drug screen within 14 days prior to start (no pending drug screens allowed)

Health & Immunization Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
Annual fit mask test (N95 or equivalent)
Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within last 10 years (medical or religious exemptions allowed with documentation)
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (2-step PPD or equivalent)
TB Questionnaire required for all travelers
Immunity or vaccination documentation for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (declinations accepted with waiver)
- Varicella (history of disease NOT accepted)
Seasonal flu vaccination required during October 31 - April 1 period (medical or religious exemptions allowed with documentation)
Respiratory Safety Clearance (RespSafety virtual questionnaire)

Additional Requirements

Two current professional references within last 3 years (one must be from a supervisor or charge RN)
Employment application and skills checklist required
Annual internal evaluation for travelers with Aya or agency for 1+ year
Facility-specific documents such as photo for badge, compliance attestations, and immunization waivers as applicable

Notes

Travelers located within 50 miles of the facility may receive a rate adjustment.
Scrubs of any color are acceptable.
Pass/fail testing and certifications must be current and match legal names on licenses.
Floating is limited to division units only.
Prior travel experience is mandatory; first-time travelers will not be considered.
