Role summary

• Provides physical therapy services to help residents improve functional abilities and independence in daily living.
• Works with residents and the care team to evaluate needs, create and adjust treatment plans, and support discharge planning.
• May supervise assistant-level staff, provide mentorship to new staff, and contribute to in-service education and program development.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Valid Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• 3 years of Physical Therapist experience
• Experience in a Long Term Care setting
• Skilled Nursing experience

Preferred qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate
• Basic Life Support certification
• Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility

Physical demands

• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and reach
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Lifting over 50 pounds requires a 2-person lift
