PACU Nurse
Location
- Hilo, Hawaii
Contract
- 13 weeks
- Contract role
Schedule
- Variable shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours
- Days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- On-call 0–3 times per month
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Hawaii
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ED - Emergency Department experience
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
Preferred / May Be Required
- PALS certification from the American Heart Association
- Other specialty-related certifications such as NIHSS or TNCC
Compliance Requirements
- Proof of flu vaccination or an approved medical/religious exception before contract start date
Role Focus
- Pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery care for post-surgical patients
- Monitoring for stability and complications in the PACU setting
