PACU Nurse

Location

Hilo, Hawaii

Contract

13 weeks
Contract role

Schedule

Variable shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours
Days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
On-call 0–3 times per month

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Hawaii
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ED - Emergency Department experience
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience

Preferred / May Be Required

PALS certification from the American Heart Association
Other specialty-related certifications such as NIHSS or TNCC

Compliance Requirements

Proof of flu vaccination or an approved medical/religious exception before contract start date

Role Focus

Pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery care for post-surgical patients
Monitoring for stability and complications in the PACU setting
