PACU Nurse

Location

  • Hilo, Hawaii

Contract

  • 13 weeks
  • Contract role

Schedule

  • Variable shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours
  • Days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • On-call 0–3 times per month

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Hawaii
  • PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
  • PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • ED - Emergency Department experience
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience

Preferred / May Be Required

  • PALS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Other specialty-related certifications such as NIHSS or TNCC

Compliance Requirements

  • Proof of flu vaccination or an approved medical/religious exception before contract start date

Role Focus

  • Pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery care for post-surgical patients
  • Monitoring for stability and complications in the PACU setting
