Float Pool RN

Overview

• Contract role in Janesville, Wisconsin.
• Night shift: 6:30P-7:00A.
• 36 hours per week.
• 13-week contract.
• Requires every other weekend and holiday coverage.

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Float experience within the last year
• 2 years of float experience
• BLS
• NIHSS

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act.
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Develops, initiates, and executes patient plans of care based on individualized needs and physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction.
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
• Provides clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments in support of patients’ longitudinal plan of care.
• Uses critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and escalates appropriately through the chain of command.
