Provides patient care based on standards of care, protocols, and established policies and procedures
Provides ongoing assessment and teaching to surgical patients and families
Interprets and documents patient cardiac rate, rhythm, and configuration and initiates appropriate treatment plan based on physician orders
Safely administers medications and intravenous therapy
Participates in daily multi-disciplinary rounds
Uses pain management devices and other techniques to ensure proper pain relief
Sets up, maintains, and troubleshoots equipment related to surgical patients, including traction/orthopedic equipment/devices, feeding pumps, chest tubes, and drains
