Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Location: Utica, New York
Shift: Night (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work in a 42-bed ICU unit divided into East (20 beds) and West (22 beds) with specialized areas: Neuro/Med (22 beds), CTICU (6 beds), Surgical/Trauma (14 beds).
- Patient diagnoses include strokes, sepsis, altered mental status, neuro interventions, respiratory failure, congestive heart failure, post-STEMI, cardiovascular surgery, cardiogenic shock, AAA surgery, trauma, and major post-op care.
- Use of specialty equipment such as IABP, CRRT (Prismaflex or NxStage), ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and targeted temperature management (Artic Sun).
- Floating required to all units except Behavioral and ER (unless holding).
- Block scheduling is not guaranteed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience required; 4-5 years preferred. Experience in ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU.
- Prior travel experience required.
- Active New York RN license.
- Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
- Experience with CRRT and Prismaflex required.
- Heart experience highly preferred.
- EMR experience required: EPIC.
- Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics.
- Must provide a skills checklist matching specialty and RTO at time of submission.
