Travel RN Opportunity - Nashville, Tennessee

Position Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Employment Type: Travel
  • Location: Nashville, Tennessee
  • Unit: 12 Tower, 36-bed unit
  • Patient Ratios: 1:4 / 1:5
  • Scheduling: 4 weekend shifts required in a 4-week block
  • Floating: Will float over core staff

Unit & Equipment

  • Staffing: Secretary every day, PRN techs available
  • Equipment: PD Cyclers, Welch Allyn VS Carts, Hoyer Lift, Broda Chairs, Alaris IV Pumps
  • Documentation System: Meditech

Patient Care & Procedures

  • Patient Population: Includes patients with wounds, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, strokes, seizures; some require dialysis or PCA pumps
  • Post-Op Procedures: Amputations, ostomy care, drains, chest tubes, oral surgeries, wound vacs
  • Medication: Only drip used is Heparin

Certifications Required

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Unit Policies & Guidelines

  • HAI prevention including CVC and Foley monitoring with standard precautions
  • Fall prevention protocols
  • 100% medication scanning, including controlled substances
  • Attendance per policy
  • Dress Code: Scrubs in Navy, Blue, White, Black, Gray, or Ceil Blue

Work Environment

  • Supportive, youthful team focused on patient outcomes
  • Experienced charge nurses and leadership for smooth onboarding
  • Travel nurses treated as core staff with equal accountability and recognition
