Travel RN Opportunity - Lewiston, ME

Position Details

• Specialty: Med-Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
• Employment Type: Travel
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend required
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: Float required to all inpatient units

Unit Information

• Unit: T1 Med-Surg (37 beds)
• Trauma Level: Level 3
• Patient Ratios: 1:5
• Patient Population: Surgical patients including bariatrics, plastics, urology, trauma, general surgery, and medical management of diagnoses such as diabetes mellitus (DM) and pneumonia (PNA)
• Equipment: Specialty bariatric beds, wound vacs, Prevena vacs, Baxter IV Pumps
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Omnicell, Cerner

Required Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2+ years in Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing
• Certifications: BLS or BCLS required; ACLS preferred
• Skills/Experience:

  • Telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias
  • Management of dysrhythmias
  • Experience with surgical nursing and telemetry
• Preferred Experience: Bariatric nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• The unit has a high patient turnover to accommodate a surgical population.
• An Ultrasound IV Team is available from 7 AM to 10 PM to assist with IVs.
• Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs
