Travel RN Opportunity - Inpatient Rehab
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Specialty: Rehabilitation Nursing (RN)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg or Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) nursing (whichever is higher)
- At least 1 year of prior travel nursing experience required
- Minimum 13 weeks of EPIC experience
- Experience in acute inpatient rehab or acute rehab hospital settings
- Must have BLS certification
- Skilled nursing experience alone is not accepted unless accompanied by 2 years of IRF or Med Surg experience
Work Details
- Shift: 12-hour shifts
- Weekend hours: Every other weekend required
- No call requirements
- Patient ratio: 1:7
- Unit size: 49 beds
- Dress code: Scrubs and sneakers (any scrub color acceptable)
Patient Population & Common Diagnoses
- Stroke (CVA), brain injury, spinal cord injury
- Parkinson’s disease, post craniotomy
- Complex orthopedic injuries including joint replacement
- Hypertension, blood glucose monitoring, insulin protocols
- Feeding tube care, swallowing precautions, thickened liquids
- Foley catheter care, care of ports, PICC lines, starting IVs
- Supplemental oxygen delivery, isolation precautions
- Ulcer and wound care
Preferred Experience
- Trauma II experience preferred
