Unit Information
- Department: Emergency Department
- Number of Beds: 20 headwall, 4 halls
- Number of Staff: 50
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
- Patient Ratios: 4:1 (6:1 for low acuity ESI 4 & 5 patients)
- Equipment: Lucas device, Level 1 trauma system, Alaris IV pumps, i-STAT, EPOC, GE monitors
- EMR System: EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Licensure: Must have Alaska RN license at time of submission
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department nursing
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
Experience & Skills
- Must Have:
- Prior Emergency Department experience
- Preferred:
- Stroke and STEMI experience
- Trauma experience
- Pediatrics experience

Work Environment & Culture
- Shift Coverage: Night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 1 tech, and 1 unit secretary
- Personality Fit: Flexible, transparent, positive, outgoing, efficient, team player
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs, appropriate fit (not tight or revealing)
- Schedule: Rotating weekends
