Unit Information

• Unit: Operating Room
• Number of OR beds: 11
• Staff size: 60-70
• Shifts:

  • Day Shift: 1 Charge RN per OR with 1-3 scrub/assist staff
  • Night Shift: 1-2 Charge RNs only
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Equipment used: DaVinci robot, Mazor, Jackson bed, Fracture bed, basic OR equipment
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Meditech

Position Details

• Shift: 12-hour weekend night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM) on Friday, Saturday, Sunday
• Role: OR circulator experience required; scrub experience is a plus
• Must have strong experience with orthopedic trauma
• Must be able to function independently with crani procedures
• Typical procedures: Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, Spine, Urology, Vascular, Robotics, and others

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• Minimum 2 years of OR circulator experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with orthopedic trauma
