Job Description

• Position in Emergency Department (ED) of a Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center
• ED treats over 60,000 patients annually
• Nurse-to-patient ratio:

  • 1:1 for critical/trauma patients
  • 1:3-4 for other patients
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
• Work schedule options: 36 or 48 hours per week
• Required to work holidays as needed and every other weekend

Requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing

Licenses

• Registered Nurse license in Alabama or Compact license (No temporary licenses accepted)
• NURSYS registration

Certifications

• AHA ACLS
• AHA BLS
• AHA PALS
• NIH or Red Cross certification
• TNCC
• SECURE on site

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Will consider 18 months experience if under highest professional license
• Must have 1 year of recent experience in Emergency Nursing specialty
• Years of experience required: 2 years (higher value between 1 and 2 years)

Prior Travel Experience

• Not explicitly required
