RN ICU Travel Assignment

Location

• Elko, Nevada

Contract

• 6 weeks
• Travel assignment
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts
• Weekly Monday orientations

Start Timing

• Candidates must start within 7–10 days

Unit Details

• ICU
• 7 beds
• Adult and geriatric patients
• Patient ratios: 2:1 for higher-acuity ICU patients; 5:1 for medical-surgical overflow

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Nevada
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule / Work Expectations

• Weekend coverage as needed/rotating
• May float to other units or be on call if the unit is on standby
• If called in, must report within 30 minutes

• Arterial lines
• Central lines
• Ventilators
• BiPAP
• Post-cardiac cath lab care
• Post-surgical care
• Moderate sedation
• Chest tube management
• Electrolyte management
• Telemetry

Common Patient Conditions

• COPD
• CHF
• Respiratory failure
• Overdose
• Alcohol withdrawal
• DKA
• STEMI
• AMI
• Stroke
