Unit Details

Unit: PreOp/PACU
Patient ratios: Per ASPAN standards
Floating: Within the unit
Shift: Day shift is 8 hours, 5 days, 0900–1730 with flexibility; night shift is on call
Call requirement: 1 weekend call per month and 1 weekday call per month

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS
ACLS
PALS
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
1 year of PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
PreOp/Phase II recovery/PAWPhase I experience
Preoperative experience

Preferred Qualifications

Meditech experience
Regional block assistance

Clinical Setting

PreOp, Phase II recovery, Phase I recovery
Procedures include general, ortho, gyn, vascular, GI, PCI, IR, and blood transfusions

Work Environment

Flexible, positive, team-oriented, autonomous, and versatile
Hospital-provided scrubs; RN must bring hospital-dedicated shoes
