CVOR Scrub Tech

Overview

Travel assignment in Winchester, Virginia
Contract length: 13 weeks
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Shift: 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 4x10s, with rotating days off
On-call required: 6–13 on-call shifts within a 4-week period, including weekends and holidays
May float to Main OR for vascular and thoracic cases

Required Qualifications

Valid CVOR Technologist license in Virginia
CVOR Technologist (2 years of experience)
CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NBSTSA

Preferred Experience

Cardiac experience in first scrub assisting and second scrub assisting

Work Setting

Adult patient population
Cardiac equipment used, including IABP, ECMO, and Atricure Cryoablation Machine

Dress Code

Ceil blue scrubs

Pros

Everyone has been very helpful and kind. The hospital is clean and pretty easy to navigate to rooms and floors. It's in a good location.

Cons

Not a whole lot of short term homes for rent but some nice hotels and rooms for rent. Not a lot of things to do during off time but DC and Shenandoah Park are a short drive. So are a lot of caverns.
