Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel Assignment
Location
- Indianapolis, Indiana
- Unit: 3 West Post-Surgical
- Number of beds: 34
- Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 5 patients
- Patient population: Post-op patients from general surgery including bariatric surgery, plus overflow medical patients
Position Details
- Employment type: Travel
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shifts: Nights, 1930-0700
- Schedule: Rotating days, 3 shifts per week, every 3rd weekend, rotating holidays
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Call: No call required
- Float: May float to similar med/surg units based on rotation and needs
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Med Surg experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
- BLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-Surgical and Med/Surg experience
Work Environment
- Equipment: Pyxis medication system
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
- Personality fit: Easy to get along with, flexible, strong patient advocate
Additional Information
- Education modules will be assigned upon hire and must be completed before starting on the floor
- Reporting location: Main entrance/Door 12, 3rd floor Post-Surgical Unit; park in yellow spaces
