Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR) Travel Position

Location: Johnson, Arkansas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, Monday to Thursday, 4 shifts of 10 hours each (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in the Operating Room (OR) as part of the surgical team, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other personnel.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering patient care during surgical procedures.
• Responsibilities include ensuring availability of supplies, managing case timeliness, communicating with patient families, updating physician preference cards, scrubbing and assisting during surgeries, and supervising personnel involved in patient care.
• Adhere to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, physician orders, and hospital policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Experience in Plastic Surgery and OB/GYN specialties

Additional Information

• This is a travel assignment with a start date ASAP.
• The position requires working 4 ten-hour day shifts per week.
