Southeastern Washington, serving the Tri-Cities area (Kennewick, Pasco, Richland)
Facility has 111 beds, Level 3 Trauma Center
Surgical Services located on 1st floor
Patient population: mostly adults, occasional pediatric patients

Position Details

Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Department: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Number of Openings: 1
Shift: Four 10-hour day shifts per week (Monday through Thursday) with call
Weekly Hours: 40 hours guaranteed
Call Requirements: 4 call shifts per month, including one weekend call
Patient Ratios: Mostly 1:1
Equipment: Space Labs monitors
Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: Paragon
Scrubs provided

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Washington
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of PACU (Post Anesthesia Care) experience, including experience within the last year
BLS certification
ACLS certification
PALS certification

Additional Information

No float requirements
Dress code: scrubs provided; no unacceptable attire specified
Must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for travel position

Pros

This Cath Lab is only travelers at the moment and has locum doctors on rotation. Some days are very slow but there is also a couple IR doctors who does some easy procedures.

Cons

On call is currently 7 consecutive days on then you get 4 days off before going back on due to number of staff present.
