Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Pecan Street SE, Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: 10-hour day shift (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM), Monday to Friday
Hours per Week: 40

Job Description

Responsible for scrubbing and/or circulating duties during operative procedures.
Manages department admissions to the operative suite.
Adheres to aseptic techniques and standards.
Collaborates with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans.
Acts as a communication liaison to patients, families, and the surgical team.
Prepares the operating room for patients and surgical procedures.
Assembles equipment and supplies, ensuring functionality and availability of supplies/implants.
On-call requirements include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must live within 50 miles of the work location.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia.
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year.
Certifications required: PALS, BLS, and ACLS.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
