Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)
Location: Pecan Street SE, Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: 10-hour day shift (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM), Monday to Friday
Hours per Week: 40
Job Description
- Responsible for scrubbing and/or circulating duties during operative procedures.
- Manages department admissions to the operative suite.
- Adheres to aseptic techniques and standards.
- Collaborates with team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans.
- Acts as a communication liaison to patients, families, and the surgical team.
- Prepares the operating room for patients and surgical procedures.
- Assembles equipment and supplies, ensuring functionality and availability of supplies/implants.
- On-call requirements include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must live within 50 miles of the work location.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia.
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year.
- Certifications required: PALS, BLS, and ACLS.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
