Registered Nurse - Surgery Center
Location

Job Summary
Provide nursing care under general supervision to patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring physiological data, assisting physicians with exams and minor procedures, and coordinating patient care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned group of patients.
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments.
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
- Monitor and intervene based on patients’ physiological data.
- Administer medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products.
- Deliver competent patient care and communicate care plans to patients and families.
- Make referrals for patient care needs and delegate tasks to support staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Ambulatory Surgery, including experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Experience in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or higher) from a board-approved program.
- Familiarity with surgical eye cases such as cataracts, cornea, retina, glaucoma, and plastics.
Work Schedule
- 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
No prior travel experience is required for this position.
