Location: Jacksonville, Florida
Employment Type: Travel Clinical Allied
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift:
- 2 positions: Monday to Friday, 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM
- 1 position: Monday to Friday, 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Job Summary
Perform delegated activities to support the operating room team and procedural areas by handling surgical instruments and equipment. Work under supervision and collaborate with the operating room team.
Key Responsibilities
- Decontaminate, assemble, inspect, package, sterilize, store, and distribute reusable surgical instruments and equipment.
- Clean, package, and reprocess reusable surgical equipment, instrumentation, and scopes following manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain inventory and storage of processed supplies.
- Support surgical team activities in the sterile core.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician, including experience within the last year.
- CRCST or CBSPD certification.
- BLS certification.
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of instrumentation experience in a hospital setting.
- Completion of a vocational program for Central Service.
- CRCST or CBSPD certification preferred.
Additional Information
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday with evening and night shifts available.
- Assignments are 13 weeks in length.
