Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography

Location

• Jackson, Michigan

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts: 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM EST
• Every other weekend required
• No call required
• Block scheduling available if it includes weekends

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Performs computerized tomographic radiological procedures under general supervision
• May also perform general diagnostic radiology examinations
• Prepares patients and explains procedures
• Reviews clinical data and patient history as needed
• Sets up equipment, performs CT scans, and administers intravenous contrast media
• Assists with sterile procedures and biopsies
• Applies radiation protection principles and manages imaging documentation in PACS and RIS

Required Qualifications

• CT Technologist experience within the last year
• 1 year of CT Technologist experience
• BLS
• ARRT
• Advanced Registry in Computed Tomography (CT)
• Completion of high school or GED equivalent, or an Associate's degree in Applied Science in Radiology, or maintenance of required continuing medical education hours

Additional Role Expectations

• Must maintain required hours of continued medical education
• Responsible for transporting patients to and from the ED

Work Environment

• May work in a hospital setting with a fixed unit or in an ambulatory mobile unit
• May be exposed to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and potentially contagious patients
• May occasionally lift or move equipment and/or patients over 10 lbs
