Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Job Summary

  • Perform nursing responsibilities specific to the Emergency Department (ED) scope of service.
  • Conduct initial patient assessments upon admission and develop appropriate care plans based on patient and family needs.
  • Implement and modify nursing interventions and care plans through continuous evaluation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety by identifying, reporting, and correcting safety hazards.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families to promote a healing environment.
  • Provide constructive feedback to peers and engage in professional development activities.

Contract Length

  • Approximately 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience, including Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
