Registered Nurse - Psychiatric (Psych)

Location: Norfolk, Virginia
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Float Pool position providing staffing support across multiple units including general care and critical care.
Assignments may include a variety of units such as Medical/Surgical, Hematology/Oncology, Progressive Care, Technology Dependent ICU, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Neuroscience, Emergency Department (Minor Care), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit Level II, Pediatric ICU, Neonatal ICU, and Emergency Department (Main Treatment Area).
Supported by unit leadership and report to the Operations Center Manager.
Shift: Day (AM)

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Minimum 2 years of Psychiatric nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience working with Pediatric patients
At least 6 months of travel nursing experience

Work Schedule

12-hour day/night shifts
36 hours per week, every other week schedule

Additional Information

Role is classified as Resource Pool (RP) Level 3 RN, capable of working in both general and critical care units within skill level.
