5 South Med Surg/Ortho RN

Overview

Role: RN (Registered Nurse)
Specialty/Unit: 5 South Med Surg/Ortho
Location: Salisbury, Maryland
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Hours: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Active American Heart Assoc BLS card
Active MD or compact state RN license
Minimum 2 years of med/surg experience
Experience with Ortho patients

Job Details

Care for post-op THR, TKR, TSR, geriatric fx patients, other fractures, and medical overflow
Unit uses Epic documentation system and Omnicell medication system
Shifts are based on need at time of request, including every other weekend
No on-call requirement
Will not work on the unit without other staff present
Floating may include other Med/Surg units
Unit has 24 beds
Nurse-to-patient ratio is 5-6:1

Additional Notes

Local candidates are not accepted; 50-mile radius restriction
Client may call off or cancel up to 12 hours per 13-week assignment
8 hours of non-billable orientation; guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
