Surgical Tech (CVOR Tech) - Travel Contract

Hours: 10 hours/day, 40 hours/week

Job Description

Seeking an experienced CVOR Scrub Tech for a travel contract in a hospital operating room setting. The role involves supporting 7 OR suites with 18-20 cases per day.

Work Environment & Details

• Unit: Operating Room (OR)
• Case volume: 18-20 cases daily
• OR tech team includes charge nurses and other OR techs
• Call requirement: Yes, including some nights and weekends

  • 1 week of night call per week
  • 2 weekend 12-hour call shifts per month
  • Call response time: 30 minutes
• Holidays: Work required on holidays
• Scrub color/uniform: Provided
• Equipment: Telemetry monitors (Phillips), ventilators available
• Surgeon on call hours: 24/7 with daytime coverage from 6:30 AM to 5 PM
• EMR system: Cerner
• Patient-to-tech ratios: 1:1 or 2:1

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CVOR Scrub Tech
• Active California license for Surgical Tech
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and CST certification preferred

Additional Information

• Overtime paid after 40 hours/week at a flat rate
• Candidates will be pre-screened by the clinical team, followed by a second interview with managers
