• Average patients per day: 25
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4

Required Qualifications

• RN license
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS
• TNCC
• ENPC
• NIHSS
• Ability to be self-directed and manage patients independently

Schedule

• Shift time: 6:45 PM–6:45 AM
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend, or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
• Holiday requirement: One summer holiday and one winter holiday off
• Orientation: 2 shifts; clinicians must be in state for the week of orientation even if first-day modules are completed remotely

Floating

• May float as needed to sister EUC facilities

Clinical Notes

• No fast track
• No separate triage area; traveler will triage their patients
• No separate holding area; ER holds are intermixed
• No in-house security in the ER 24/7
• No RT in the ER 24/7
• RN manages vents, CPAP, and heated high flow
• No monitor techs; RNs read their own strips
• X-ray and CT are available in the ER
• Phlebotomy is done by RNs
• Will need training in Point of Care Lab functions

Additional Information

• Candidate interview is with the MedSol Clinical Team; no unit manager involvement
• Must be able to work Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day
• Navy scrubs required
