Required Qualifications

• Active IL license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years in OR

Preferred

• PALS
• Orthopedic surgery experience
• Scrubbing experience for RN

Unit Details

• OR - Surgery - General (Major) - RN
• 5 suites
• Average 20-25 cases per day
• Common cases include general surgery, GYN surgery, urology surgery, orthopedic surgery, podiatry surgery, colon resections, basic lap gen surgery cases, hysterectomy, basic urology and nephrectomy/prostatectomy, PCNL, total knee replacement, total hip replacement, shoulder replacement, knee scopes, shoulder scopes, and basic podiatry cases

Schedule

• Days
• 36 hours per week
• Call required once every 6 weeks for weeknights, weekends, and holidays
• Call response time: 45 minutes

Additional Details

• Floating may be required to Ottawa at times
• Hospital-provided scrubs are required
• Epic OpTime is used
• On-site orientation occurs the morning of the first shift
• The department has a charge nurse and a supervisor
• OR techs are available
• Local rate applies within 50 miles
• Non-billable orientation is 12 hours
• Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
• Candidate must produce a negative drug screen for all panels
