Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Work in Cardiac Cath Lab with daily caseload varying between 4-16 cases per tech.
- On-call required: 7-8 call shifts per month including 1 weekend.
- Floating within scope of practice may be required to meet facility needs.
- Locals within 70-mile radius are not accepted.
- Pending state license accepted.
Schedule
- Day shift: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
- Total hours per week: 40
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Radiology/Cardiology specialty.
- First-time travel techs are accepted (no prior travel experience required).
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
- Skills: Scrubbing and circulating in the Cath Lab.
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system required.
- Valid state license for Missouri or compact license; pending license accepted prior to start.
Onboarding & Compliance Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Criminal background check within 12 months, including SSN trace, 7-year county and nationwide search, sex offender search.
- Negative drug screen within 12 months of start.
- TB testing: PPD, Qgold, or TSPOT within 12 months; chest x-ray within 5 years if prior positive PPD.
- OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start for fit testing (fit testing completed onsite during orientation).
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity:
- Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption (must be renewed annually).
- COVID vaccine series preferred.
- Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella immunity or vaccination proof.
- Varicella immunity or vaccination proof.
- Hepatitis B titer, series, or declination (required for new candidates).
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules and training, including:
- Cath Lab AbioMed Impella Online Training (annual update required).
- Agency Personnel Orientation Checklist (post-start).
- Photo for badge with plain white/off-white background required.
- Review and sign confidentiality, security, and ethical conduct agreements prior to start.
Additional Information
- Scrubs provided by facility.
- Free onsite parking available.
- Must submit all required documentation and clearances prior to start.
- Candidates will be fit tested onsite during the first week; refusal to be clean-shaven for fit test will result in cancellation.
- Floating within scope of practice may be required.
