Job Details

  • Friday: 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Saturday-Sunday: 9:30 AM – 10:00 PM
  • Rotating call and holiday coverage (generally 1 weekday call day and rotating Friday call; may be up to 2 days/week depending on staffing)
• Daily Caseload: 10-15 patients
• Start Date: ASAP
• First-time travelers accepted
• Locals accepted
• Floating: No floating to sister facilities required
• Block scheduling: Possible at manager’s discretion

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience within the last year
• ARRT (National Certification required; VA state license NOT required)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association Basic Life Support provider card required; instructor cards not accepted)

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Valid driver’s license (front and back copy) required
• Background check: Lifetime package within 1 year prior to start, including SSN trace, criminal searches (county, federal, state), nationwide offender registry, education verification, and others as applicable
• Education verification: Highest degree must be verified via third party (minimum high school for techs; associate or bachelor’s degree depending on role)
• Drug testing: Within 30 days prior to start, including a comprehensive panel of substances
• Physical exam: Within 1 year prior to start
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Immune titer or 2 vaccines (boosters or declination allowed)
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer, vaccine series, or declination (must have first booster prior to start)
  • Varicella: Immune titer or 2 vaccines (boosters or declination allowed)
• TB testing: Negative TB skin test, Q-Gold, or T-spot within 1 year; negative chest X-ray within 5 years if TB positive; annual TB questionnaire if history of positive TB
• Fit mask (N95) testing: Required annually for all except sterile processing and non-clinical supply chain techs; documentation must state N95 and passed
• Flu vaccination: Required during flu season (9/1 - 3/31) unless approved medical or religious exemption
• COVID vaccination: Not required but documentation must be on file; declination accepted

References & History

• Two references required:

  • One from current year of assignment
  • One within last 2 years
  • Must be from a manager, supervisor, team leader, Charge RN, or MD/DO/PA who supervised the candidate
  • References from this facility or system are NOT accepted; must be from outside facilities
• Employment application and work history verification required (minimum 2 years; 10 years if only CRT license)
• Skills checklist required for all clinical candidates

Orientation & Training

• Must complete facility-specific orientation packet and sign confidentiality, code of conduct, and other required agreements prior to start
• Must complete Epic Experience Screening Form immediately after signing; may require Epic training if test-out unsuccessful
• Must complete WorkRamp modules within one week of signing (approx. 8 hours total); retakes allowed up to 3 times for passing scores
• Rotating call and holiday coverage required
