Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Job Description
- Variable shift schedule; all staff work variable shifts, but efforts are made to keep consistent schedules during the contract.
- Position requires flexibility to float internally between departments/units.
- No on-call required.
- Weekend work required every other weekend per collective bargaining agreement.
- Patient ratios depend on campus acuity.
- 48-hour shifts are not approved.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Respiratory Therapist with NICU experience within the last year.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Respiratory Therapy focused on NICU.
- Experience working with neonate patients.
- General Respiratory Therapist experience.
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Social Security Card (as applicable for I9 verification).
- Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years; must be updated annually.
- Education verification required.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated monthly.
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, confirming ability to work.
- Fit mask test required annually (travel only).
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years or signed declination.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination.
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season.
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted.
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start.
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for respirator use (travel only).
- References: Minimum of 2 references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years.
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years of employment.
- Skills checklist updated annually as applicable.
- Annual completion of required regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS.
- Photo for badge with neutral background required.
Work Environment and Additional Information
- Floating between units within the facility is expected.
- No block schedules required.
- The facility follows collective bargaining agreements regarding weekend work.
- No on-call duties.
- Candidate must be flexible and adaptable to variable shifts.
