Labor and Delivery RN

Overview

• Travel/contract position in Liberal, Kansas
• 13-week assignment
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Block scheduling may be reviewed
• Locals are accepted
• First-time travelers are accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kansas
• Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure

Schedule and Work Expectations

• Every other weekend required
• No call required
• Floating expected occasionally to medical-surgical, ICU, and ER areas

Unit Details

• 10-bed LDRP unit
• 4-bed GYN/post-op area
• 14 well-baby beds
• 3 special care nursery beds
• Approximately 900 deliveries per year
• Staffing includes 2 OB/GYN doctors and 3 pediatricians

Compliance and Onboarding

• Government-issued photo ID required
• Social Security card required
• I-9 and E-Verify documentation required
• Background check required
• Drug screening required on first day
• Fit testing required within 1 year of start
• Physical exam required and updated annually
• Proof of 2 clinical references required
