Overview

Travel/Contract role in Huntington, West Virginia
13-week assignment
Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:00
36 hours per week
Short Term Acute Care hospital
Major Teaching Hospital; member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals and Health Systems (COTH)
Level II Trauma
330 staffed beds
Charting system: Cerner
Free parking for travelers; parking lot and parking garage available

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in West Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Float (2 years of experience)
Float experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
PALS
NRP
TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
State license verification required
NURSYS verification required for RNs
NIH Stroke Certification required for all RNs and LPN/LVNs
CPI required for ICU
Government-issued photo ID
7-year criminal background check
Background check within 30 days of start
EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
Competency exam
Medication test/pharmacology competency exam, as applicable
Physical exam attesting to ability to meet the physical demands of the position
Fit mask / onsite fit testing
Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years of start
Negative TB or Chest X-Ray
Rubeola (Measles) positive titer
Mumps positive titer
Rubella positive titer
Hepatitis B surface antibody and antigen titer within 6 months of start, with vaccination series or declination documentation
Varicella positive titer
Hepatitis A total antibody within 6 months
Hepatitis C antibody within 6 months
Drug screen within 30 days of start
Proof of 2 clinical references
Employment application / resume
Skills checklist for applicable unit
Orientation and annual education attestation
Confidentiality agreement
User ID and IT access agreement
MyADP new account creation before start
TB screening questionnaire
COVID declination form if not providing proof of COVID vaccination or updated 2023–2024 COVID vaccines

N95 fit test completed onsite at orientation
Clean-shaven for male candidates for respiratory fit test

Scrubs: Hunter Green Scrubs; may wear a Cabell T-Shirt instead of scrub top; must change into Surgery scrubs when reporting to Surgery, and those are provided
Facility modules are assigned in HealthStream before start and must be completed within a week of start
Hepatitis B declination form is required if declining Hepatitis B vaccination
Approved flu exemptions require masking during flu season
