Sterile Processing Tech (SPT)

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Surgical Services
• Night shift: 5x8, 23:00–07:30
• Start date: 10/5
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• On call required 24 hrs Sat & Sun and holidays as needed
• Scrubs provided

Required Qualifications

• Sterile Processing Technician with 3 years of experience
• Sterile Processing Technician experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA certification
• Driver's License
• Aseptic technique
• Preference card knowledge
• Sterilization wrapping procedures
• Sterile Processing Microsystem (SPM)

Preferred

• Tdap vaccine within 10 years

Health and Compliance Requirements

• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• TB questionnaire annually
• Hepatitis B titer, series of 3, or signed declination
• MMR immunity documentation or positive titer for measles, mumps, and rubella
• Varicella immunity documentation or positive titer
• Drug screen within 90 days of start
• Annual physical exam
• Flu vaccine or approved exemption during flu season
• Fit mask not required for Sterile Processing Techs
