Job Summary
Seeking a Physical Therapist specializing in acute care to provide 1:1 patient care in a short-term acute care hospital setting. The position does not require floating between units, on-call duties, weekend shifts, or block schedules.

Work Environment
- Dress code for licensed nursing personnel: solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs (print tops not allowed except in specific units).
- No floating between units.

- Expected patient ratio: 1:1
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Texas
Experience Requirements
- At least 1 year of acute care physical therapy experience is required.
- No explicit requirement for prior travel experience.
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests).
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years or declination accepted.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination.
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season.
- COVID-19 vaccine or declination.
- Respirator clearance required annually for travel candidates.
- Background check within 45 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years.
- Education verification and employment application covering at least last 5 years.
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years.
Additional Notes
- Candidate may be required to complete facility and specialty-specific training modules annually.
- Badge photo required prior to start.
- Float policy acknowledgement required (may be asked to float to other nearby facilities).
- No weekend or on-call shifts required.
- Parking is free in unrestricted employee/visitor lots.
