Job Opportunity: CT Technologist

Location: West Islip, New York
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evening (1 PM – 11 PM), 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (40 hours/week)

Job Description

• Perform high-quality CT scans using advanced imaging protocols and techniques.
• Maintain and operate CT equipment, including routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Analyze and interpret CT images to identify abnormalities; collaborate with physicians for diagnostic assessments.
• Accurately document patient information, imaging protocols, and procedural details; prepare detailed reports for physician review and medical records.
• Work every other weekend.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in New York.
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, with experience within the last year.

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Driver’s license or state ID with clear picture and current address.
• 7-year background check completed within 30 days prior to start, including multiple federal and state-level screenings; must be updated annually.
• Education verification via diploma or transcript.
• State license verification within 30 days of start (license hits are not accepted).
• Facility-specific physical exam form completed by a physician within 30 days prior to start; must include required sections and clinician’s signature.
• Fit test for N95 mask (Halyard Fluidshield or 3M 1860) completed within 12 months prior to start.
• Proof of negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year.
• Immunization or titer proof for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (antibody and antigen results required)
  • Varicella
• Standard 9-panel drug screen completed within 30 days prior to start; rapid drug tests not accepted.
• Seasonal flu vaccination required between October 1 and April 30 (declinations allowed for religious or medical reasons).
• COVID vaccination series preferred.
• Two clinical references required, preferably supervisor level or above.
• Employment application documenting 7 years of employment history with explanations for any gaps.
• Current skills checklist applicable to the position, updated within the last year.
• Compliance with New York State Medicaid Exclusion List screening, updated annually.

Additional Information

• No prior travel experience explicitly required.
• This position requires working every other weekend.
