Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Virginia
• Physical Therapy Assistant (2 years of experience)
• Physical Therapy Assistant experience within the last year
• Experience in orthopedic physical therapy
• Experience with workers compensation cases
• Background check within 1 year of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM required annually
• HHS/OIG required annually
• ACLS
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• State license verification
• National tech certification verification, as applicable
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam, as applicable
• Competency exam, as applicable
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Rubeola (measles) documentation
• Mumps documentation
• Rubella documentation
• Hepatitis B documentation
• Varicella documentation
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
• Flu vaccination or declination during flu season
• References within 3 years of start
• Skills checklist annually

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS

Work Setting Notes

• 12–14 patients per day
• Full support staff at each location, including front office and PT aides/techs
• First day includes staff introduction, EMR orientation, shadowing, and treating a few patients
• Most locations double book patients
