Job Opportunity: RN Step Down

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work every other week (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH).
• Requires 2 years of experience in PCU (Progressive Care Unit) or Med-Surg Telemetry Acute Care.
• Placement will be on a unit with the greatest need, which may be PCU, Med-Surg, or Telemetry units based on your skills.
• Candidates with Med-Surg or Stepdown RN experience are accepted as both require the same credentialing.
• Must be willing to float onsite within your skill set or to other sites within 40 miles if needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PCU (Progressive Care Unit), with at least some experience within the last year
• Med-Surg and Telemetry experience
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Information

• Onsite onboarding and training required.
• Must be able to complete Epic electronic health record test-out and training checklist.
• Must maintain all required documentation and certifications updated as per policy.
• Floating to other units or nearby sites may be required based on staffing needs.
