Unit Information

  • Unit: Endoscopy
  • Number of Procedure Rooms: 5
  • Number of Staff: 15 (Day Shift: 5 RNs, 5 endoscopy techs; Night Shift: call only)
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1
  • EMR System: Meditech

Required Skills

  • Colonoscopy
  • EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy)
  • ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography)
  • EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound)
  • ION / Bronchoscopy / EBUS (Endobronchial Ultrasound)
  • Endoscope Reprocessing

Typical Procedures

  • ERCP
  • EUS
  • Bronchoscopy / EUS / EBUS
  • EGD / Colonoscopy

Call and Scheduling

  • Call required approximately 4-7 days per month

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas
  • Minimum 1 year of Endoscopy experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
