Registered Nurse – Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Farmington, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7 PM – 7 AM)
Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
Weekend Requirement: At least 2 weekend shifts per month recommended
Unit: Medical Unit (43 beds)
Patient Ratios: 1:5 and 1:6
Electronic Health Record: Cerner

Unit & Patient Population

• Level II Trauma Center
• Patient population primarily adults (≥18 years)
• Common diagnoses: cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, congestive heart failure (CHF)
• Equipment used: vital signs machine, bladder scanner, IV pumps, thermal imaging, lifts, tube feeding pumps

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Mexico
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience (minimum 1 year), with experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Information

• Float requirements as per facility needs
• Call not required
• Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis
• Must have at least a 3.2 overall rating on skills checklist
• Submittal requirements include resume, competency exam, skills checklist, and screening questions
