Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel Assignment

Location: Marquette, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Work in a 24-bed Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics unit (7th floor) at a specialty care hospital with trauma level 2 designation.
• Patient population includes all ages over 28 days, with a focus on adults and pediatrics.
• Typical patient ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients.
• Common diagnoses include trauma and post-operative care for orthopedic and neurological patients, as well as general pediatric cases (0-3 pediatric rooms on average).
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) system currently Paragon, transitioning to Cerner on 3/1/24.
• Shift: Night shift with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
• Weekend requirement: 3 weekends every 6 weeks.
• No call requirements.
• Float required to inpatient units.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Experience working with adult patients.

• Dress code: Galaxy Blue scrubs; specific attire policies apply.
