Job Opportunity: Special Procedures Tech - Radiology
Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Department: Interventional Radiology
- Number of Beds: 5 Interventional Radiology suites
- Shift: Day shift, typically 8 AM - 6:30 PM
- On-call: 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month (possible holiday coverage)
- Patient Ratios: 2 IR Techs and 1 IR RN per shift
- Equipment: 4 Siemens Bi-plane units, 1 Siemens Single plane
- EMR Systems: Meditech, GE Centricity PACS
Typical Procedures
- Neuro Interventional Procedures including Stroke, Aneurysms, Subarachnoid Hemorrhage (SAH), and Deep Venous Sinus Thrombosis (DVST)
- Level 1 Trauma Center procedures such as Gastrointestinal Bleeds (GIB), Embolisms (EMBOs), Gastrostomy Tubes, Nephrostomy, etc.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist within the last year
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- ARRT Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with neuro interventional cases (strokes, aneurysms, SAH)
- Expert knowledge of vascular interventional radiology procedures with minimal guidance
