LPN/LVN - Med Surg Travel Position
Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Overview
- Unit: Medical-Surgical, 4 South
- Number of Beds: 32
- Staff on Unit: 38 total
- Night Shift Staff: 9 RNs, 2 LVNs, 4 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
- Patient Ratio: 5:1
- Equipment Used: Bladder Scanner, Vital Sign Machine, Telemetry
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
- Call Requirements: No call required
- Weekend Shifts: Approximately 4 shifts per month
Required Qualifications
- Valid LPN/LVN license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
- IV Therapy Certification
- Acknowledgement of HCA Employee Health and Safety Forms or LPN/LVN Assessment or Pharmacology LPN/LVN Assessment or USP 800 Hazardous Drug Risk
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of nursing experience preferred
Work Environment & Culture
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs with unit logo required; adherence to unit policies and guidelines expected
- Personality Fit: Open to feedback, demonstrates ownership mentality
- No routine procedures performed on this unit
