Job Overview

• Location: Saint Louis, Missouri

• Schedule notes: No more than every other weekend; call as required; blocked scheduling may be approved based on facility requirements
• Start/orientation note: Night shift orients on day shift, and the traveler must be available the entire week for orientation

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Med Surg experience
• Oncology experience within the last year
• 1 year of Oncology experience
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• Driver's License

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Coordinate care with other departments and ancillary staff
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality
• Evaluate care provided by other direct care givers

Unit / Patient Care Details

• Patient ratio: 1:5/6
• Unit size: 15 beds
• Patient population includes oncology, some neuro overflow, medical patients, and end-of-life patients
• Float as needed to any unit in the med/surg service line

Work Conditions

• Standing and walking most of the time
• Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, turning, pushing, pulling, and gripping
• High exposure risk to blood and body fluids
• May require lifting and turning patients with assistance

Preferred

• ONS Chemo Certification
