CST/ORT - First Assist

Job Overview

  • Location: Salem, Virginia
  • Employment type: Travel
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Hours per week: 36
  • Shift: 10-hour shifts
  • Schedule: Rotating weeknight and weekend call
  • Floating: No floating

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CVOR Technologist license in Virginia
  • CVOR Technologist (2 years of experience)
  • CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • OR First Assist Certification
  • VA Board of Medicine Registration
  • Proficiency in orthopedic procedures
  • Proficiency in DaVinci robotic surgery
  • Proficiency in neuro procedures
  • Orthopedic trauma experience
  • CVOR First Assist experience

Unit Details

  • Setting: Main operating room with 10 beds
  • Staffing: Each room has 1 circulator and 1 surgical technologist
  • Procedures: Craniotomy, spine fusion, liver resection, Whipple, and MAKO total joint
