Job Overview

• Travel RN position in Somerset, Kentucky
• 13-week assignment
• 36 hours per week
• 7am shift
• 2 openings

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kentucky
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
• NRP
• STABLE
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Mother/Baby Postpartum float experience
• Post Partum experience

Unit Details

• Special Care Nursery Level 2
• 8-bed special care nursery
• Patient ratio: 1:2-1:3
• Float to Mother/Baby Postpartum
• No call required
• Weekend requirement: 2 weekend shifts per month

Experience / Skills

• Level 2 Special Care Nursery or higher NICU experience
• Experience attending deliveries and initiating/running NRP resuscitation is preferred

Patient Population

• Neonates
• Full term, early term, and pre-term infants

Common Diagnoses / Treatments

• NAS/NOWS
• TTN
• IV antibiotics
• Bubble CPAP
• OG/NG feeds

Additional Notes

• Orientation is weekly on Mondays
• Candidates must live 60 miles or more away to be considered travel
• Travelers must have required certifications before start
• Scrubs: Royal Blue or hospital-issued OR scrubs
